Alcoholic Beverage Should Be Illegal for All Ages Essay Example for Free

Mixed Beverage Should Be Illegal for All Ages Essay ?Punishments for alcoholic driving ought to be drastically expanded. I firmly accept that punishments for alcoholic driving ought to be drastically expanded. At the point when an individual chooses to drink liquor there ought to be considerations experiencing their head. An individual who drinks liquor and doesn’t have an assigned driver should definitely realize their placing individuals in harm's way and going to get an intense punishment. Then again, for driver’s security the law should expand the punishments for alcoholic driving radically. Not exclusively should their punishment be expanded; they ought to need to take part in compelling treatment before they thing about driving impaired once more. D. J. Hanson. (1997-2012) said when drivers drive alcoholic their speed limit is ten miles higher than their standard speed limit. For example if a driver is traveling 50 miles for each hour on the interstate and their impaired their speed limit is going to 60 miles for every hour constant. Envision if there was traffic on the interstate, 12 PM dark outside, and an old woman is just traveling 40 miles for every hour on the interstate. The driver is impaired traveling 60 miles contrasted with the older woman 40 miles; there’s going to be a cut off mishap because of the driver driving alcoholic. This cause the old woman to be in a crazy situation. A family has lost an adoration one and leaves the alcoholic driver with a DUI. The driver shouldn’t just get accused of a DUI he ought to go to treatment, recovery, and not be permitted to drive once more. Besides, despite the fact that the drinking again has expanded to 21 it shouldn’t make individuals think its alright to drive under the influence alcoholic. Here’s a statement I discovered intriguing to making punishments significantly expanded. DeWine (R-OH): It is an issue of rights the option to have a reasonable possibility on the roadway, not to have somebody come at you who has been driving under the influence. Individuals reserve an option to drive on a thruway so for what reason should an individual who is driving smashed punishment ought to be increasly harshly. In conclusion, I figure penalities ought to be dramacticlly expanded in light of the fact that I have lost 3 friends and family since someone was driving smashed. The driver was traveling 80 miles for every hour on the freeway. At the point when my aunt exchanged over to the fast track the driver can no holding back and flipped the vehicle multiple times noticeable all around. My aunt wasn’t the main individual in the vehicle my multi year old cousin and my multi year old cousin. I was following behind my aunt when the mishap occurred. The burial service was dreatful. Losing an adoration one to alcoholic driving and just getting a DUI isn’t enough. I concur with the announcement penatlties ought to be dramactility expanded to the individuals who chooses to drive under the incfluence.

It is common to feel this way on occasion but, when these moments start becoming more frequent or last for longer periods of time, we might start seeing ourselves differently. Our goals become less important, we find it difficult to feel inspired and we might start wondering if we are capable. We may even start calling ourselves lazy. Our Ideal Self We all have a sense of who we want to be, how we want to behave, goals  we want to accomplish, and how we want to show up in the world.  Ideal self  is a concept in psychology that refers to the image we carry in our minds of what our best self would look, act, and feel like. Our ideal self is often an image of productivity and our achievement of certain goals, healthy behaviors, and more. Unfortunately, our busy lives dont often allow for much reflection on our ideal self and it seems to get lost in the shuffle, tucked away somewhere with our childhood answers to What do you want to be when you grow up? Youre Not Alone If you feel lazy or unproductive at times, you are certainly not alone. Research has found that only 8%  of people who set a New Years resolution actually achieve their intended goal. In fact, 1 in 4 people dont make it past their first week before throwing in the towel! What happens that makes it so difficult to hang in there, stay productive, and work toward our desired goals? There are many things that can get in the way of our productivity and achievement of goals, leaving us to see ourselves as lazy. Sometimes the obstacles are situational or related to timing and opportunity, while other times we may be creating the obstacles ourselves with our approach, our mindset, or our methods. Old Habits Die Hard In order to make real progress and quit our old lazy patterns, we need to recognize what might be influencing our inability to reach our goals or leaving us  feeling less productive than we would like to be. So, what you might think of as lazy, may just be a matter of switching up your approach and getting rid of old, unhelpful habits that have kept you from feeling productive and achieving your goals. Here are several such habits that can prevent us from reaching our goals. If anything on this list looks familiar, dont worryâ€"you are far from alone: Making your  goals too big or complicated. We all want to reach the pinnacle, but we might grossly underestimate how much effort and time it takes to get up there. If we give up after a few hours, its not because we are lazy but because we may have realized we miscalculated the amount of time and effort involved.Expecting yourself to be perfect. When we are working toward a goal we expect the road to be smooth and consistent when, in reality, the path toward our goal is most likely going to be full of twists, turns, and setbacks.Listening to your inner critic. If the term lazy is part of your self-talk, there are likely more negative and critical statements that come from your inner critic on a regular basis. You may even bring out your inner critic in an attempt to motivate yourself. What happens? Your critical voice focuses on all of your flaws and shortcomings, rather than any existing strengths and positive attributes that could help you move forward.Listening to criticism from o thers.  As we learn  about ourselves and the world through our experiences, we are receiving feedback from others that helps to shape our self-concept.  When someone important to us has called us lazy in the past, it can really impact how we see ourselves even into adulthood. We may also hear people criticize our efforts in our adult life, leaving us to feel self-doubt or discouragement. Not creating a plan of action. When we find inspiration and become excited about a new goal, we can forget the importance of creating a plan. Our excitement for the goal can cause us to move fast and with a lot of passion, but turn into a sense of being overwhelmed and feeling aimless. What to Start Doing Fortunately, there are plenty of achievable steps you can take to turn things around or stay on track with your goals: Create small, attainable goals. You can still desire to reach the pinnacle, but break that huge goal down into smaller goals that will help you feel more accomplished and motivated to continue climbing. As you consider the big picture, remember the key steps that will be needed to get there and write them down. If needed, break those down into even smaller or shorter-term goals.  Take time to develop a plan. Sit with yourself for a moment as you reflect on your desires and goals, considering those small and attainable steps you will need to accomplish in order to get there. Be realistic about the amount of effort, time, money, help or other factors involved in meeting this goal. Going into the process with an action plan will help you feel more confident and peaceful, as well as give you something to refer back to when you feel discouraged or have a setback.Focus on your strengths. If you are used to an inner critic that focuses on your flaws and shortcomings, you will find great ben efit in taking inventory of your strengths. Do you find it hard to think of any personal strengths? Consider any challenge you have been through and reflect on what personal strengths you used to get through that experience. If you still find it difficult to identify strengths, ask friends or family what they see as your greatest strength. You can also find strengths assessments online, such as the Values In Action inventory.Celebrate the small victories. Celebrating your victories as you accomplish the small goals, or even as you overcome setbacks, can help you continue moving forward. The pride we experience in meeting our goals can help reinforce more positive self-talk. We experience increased self-efficacy with each accomplishment, which can help us find long-term success.Recruit support. It is okay to ask for help along the way. We thrive when connected to important people in a positive, healthy way. Allow those important support people to be a part of your experience. You may want them to celebrate with you along the way or may want to turn to them in times of need when you experience a setback or obstacle. Finding reassurance and encouragement from important people in our lives can help us develop greater resiliency. Your Physical Health Our feelings of laziness can also be influenced by how we are taking care of ourselves physically. We can learn new goal-setting habits and work to challenge our negative thought patterns, but we also need to consider what we are doing for our bodies. Taking care of our physical health can help set the stage for increased energy which, in turn, can allow us to put these other positive changes into action. Food What we eat plays a significant role in how energetic we feel. When our schedules dont allow much time for food planning and preparation, we might find ourselves reaching for quick options on the go, options that offer little nutritional value to help us maintain adequate energy levels. Foods higher in protein, for example, can help our bodies to maintain more stable blood sugar levels and keep us from feeling drastic ups and downs in our energy throughout the day. Examples of food and drink  that can help increase energy include: AlmondsSalmonBananasYogurtOatsDark Leafy GreensChickenWater Examples of food and drink to  avoid if you want increased energy include: French friesCandyBreadSugary drinksDonutsDessertsAlcohol Although sugary foods can give us a temporary boost of energy, it is very short-lived and can leave us feeling as if our energy levels have bottomed out. The timing of our meals and snacks can impact our energy levels as well. Eating smaller meals through the day can help us maintain steady levels of energy, compared to eating larger, heavier meals that often leave us feeling  tired. Exercise When we are tired and feeling lazy, the last thing we likely want to do is exercise. However, moving our bodies can help increase our energy levels and overall feelings of productivity. Research has shown that even just low to moderate levels of exercise can have a significant impact on our energy levels, helping to reduce fatigue.   Ways to incorporate more exercise can include: Walking your dogJogging with a friendHiking with a groupAttending a group fitness classTrying a new yoga class Sleep Our sleep patterns can greatly impact our energy levels. If you tend to feel lazy, you might think you are getting too much sleep at night or find yourself taking extended naps during the day. Creating a healthy sleep routine can help you maintain a consistent sleep schedule and, in turn, help you feel more balanced and energized to take on tasks and feel more productive. If you are a night owl or a napper, this transition could take some work. However, being able to start your day with increased energy, and being able to maintain your energy levels through the day, make the sleep routine worthwhile. What to consider in your sleep care routine: Try to go to bed at the same time each nightAim for 8 hours of sleep per nightLimit screen time at least an hour before bedLimit caffeine after lunchtime Stress Management Being constantly overscheduled, with demands placed on us in multiple areas of our lives, can leave us feeling physically and emotionally drained. In these moments we can find it difficult to take active  steps and make decisions because we are exhausted. Feelings of exhaustion can leave us feeling as if we are lazy when we are actually stressed and overwhelmed. According to the American Psychological Association, some helpful ways to manage your stress include things like: Incorporating  exercise and movement into your dayFinding reasons to smile or laughIncreasing  your social supportPracticing  meditation or prayer daily Boundaries A significant element of stress management is making sure we are using our time wisely. It can be easy to say yes to our co-workers, our spouse, our children, and friends. So easy, in fact, that you may find yourself unable to actually fulfill all of what you have committed to. Look at where you are spending your time, take inventory of unfinished tasks on your to-do list, consider where you can politely say no so that you can use that time for things that need your attention and energy. If the idea of setting boundaries is new to you, the first couple of steps would include giving yourself permission to do it and to start with small things. You may be afraid of how people will respond to you and that is okay. Remember that your goal here is to improve self-care, increase energy and feel empowered to tackle the tasks and goals that are important to you. Creating  time for yourself is key and setting small boundaries around your time will help you do just that. Dont Get Distracted With Comparison Lastly, when we feel lazy it is natural to look around and think everyone else is getting it right except you. Dont allow yourself to get caught in the distraction of comparing yourself to others. Remember, our inner critic is a roadblock to our productivity and can keep us feeling stuck. Allow yourself to show up differently in your life and remember that the journey is uniquely yours. Taking small steps toward better self-care, increased energy, improved goals, and healthy boundary setting can help you stop feeling lazy in no time. Prioritizing and taking consistent action steps are the key to long term change and there is no better time than now to take those first steps.

Gender Discrimination A Male Dominant Society It Is Hard...

In a male dominant society it is hard for a woman’s voice to be heard, and easy for gender inequality to thrive. Women have come a long way from what they were and how they were treated, both in society and under the law, but the discrimination is still significant globally, even in places such as Canada. Under the law we all are the same, no matter what gender, race, or background we come from, but in society women still do not get the respect we deserve. No matter what the law or the Supreme Court of Canada states, women still have to face gender discrimination in the places they work and deal with it against their coworkers. Unfortunately, it doesn’t just end their, because a majority of women face gender discrimination in forms of sexual harassment at least once in their lives. However, gender inequality isn’t always the big things that involve the law, but rather in our everyday lives, such as the restrictions female students have based on the dress code. W ith all this still going on in Canada, it I shard to say that gender discrimination has come to an end. Gender discrimination in a work environment is not an abnormal problem for most women to face on a daily basis. Many women in Canada work in an environment where their male associates are given more opportunities than they are. They are also paid less than their male associates, and face more sexism in the workplace than women who work globally when it comes to the wage gap. Writing a Dialogue in Fiction

Writing a Dialogue in Fiction Good dialogue is a half of the success when you write a novel, so it is extremely important to make them well-written, memorable, and expressive. We have prepared a range of useful tips and pieces of advice on how to create an individual and bright characters through dialogues. Do not Use Too Many â€Å"He Says† and Their Synonyms There is no need to write â€Å"he says† or anything alike after each line in a dialogue. So, omit these phrases every time it is possible. The dialogue without those markers is more realistic and true to life. Though, you should use â€Å"he says† and its synonyms when it is hard to understand which character is speaking. Otherwise, readers can get confused. Do not Use Complete Sentences All the Time In real life, we do not converse with complete sentences, so you should not use them in fictional dialogues unless this is the way of characterization of a personage. Use an ellipsis to make conversations more natural. Make Character Speech Match the Situation The form and style of dialogue should be appropriate to the situation in which the conversation is set. Thus if the dialogue is between a strict boss and his assistant, you cannot use familiar lexis, slang or vulgarisms, and vice versa avoid too formal style in a conversation between friends or lovers. Make Your Characters Individual People can be distinguished by their manner of speaking, and this feature should be transferred into fiction. Readers should be able to distinguish personages by how and what they tell. You can use a dialect, deliberate grammar or spelling mistakes, vocabulary of a certain style, jargon, and other devices for that purpose. Use Shorten Forms If you are to write an informal dialogue, use shortened forms. E.g. â€Å"hadn’t† instead of â€Å"had not†, â€Å"he’ll† instead of â€Å"he will† etc. What is more, read aloud such conversation to make sure that they sound in a natural way. Direct Answers to Questions Are Not Always Appropriate Avoid direct answers to direct questions. People usually do not answer if the question is inconvenient, and your personages should do the same. They can try to change the subject instead. Do not Use Italics If you need to write a dialogue that is full of emotions, it is much better to use words with emotional connotations than Italics. It is also possible to use exclamation marks, but do not overuse them as well. Do Not Turn Dialogue into Monologue Dialogue is the exchange of phrases in turns. Sometimes a writer wants his or her character to say a lot in one phase, and the exchange in turns converts into a long monologic speech of one personage. To avoid that, make sure that one phrase in a dialogue is no longer than three-four lines. If it is longer, reduce it! Avoid Too Much Information Do not try to convey information through dialogues, as it makes them artificial and unrealistic. Introduce first or third person narrator and let him or her develop the plot and provide essential information to readers. The narrator is also useful when you want to express views on a situation, share some philosophical thoughts, or present ideas. Do not Address Characters by Name to Often You can mention the character’s name at the beginning of the conversation, but do not mention it throughout the whole dialogue.

Free Essays on What Caused Wilson Change In Opinion To Enter WW1

There were many reasons for the United States involvement in the War, but Germany’s great desire for more power and global influence is the most evident. â€Å"Militarism was another cause of the war, it was similar to the arms race of today, because Britain had a great navy, Germany wanted a great navy too. German Verb Brauchen - Meaning and Conjugation

German Verb Brauchen - Meaning and Conjugation Transitive Verb Past Tense: Past Participle: Definition: to needHere brauchen is followed by an accusative object or phrase.Ich brauche einen neuen HutI need a new hat.Sie braucht mehr ZeitShe needs more time.Note: Do not confuse this definition of brauchen with gebrauchen. Even though you may hear it spoken at times (Ich gebrauche tglich acht Glser Wasser), it is still grammatically wrong. You can however substitute brauchen for gebrauchen and vice versa in the next definition as follows. Definition: to use/useful forWith this definition you can often use brauchen and gebrauchen interchangeably, particularly with the verb kà ¶nnen. There is no difference in meaning.Kannst du das Geld brauchen?Would this money be useful to you?Kannst du das Geld gebrauchen? Heute bin ich zu nichts zu brauchen.I am of no use today.Heute bin ich zu nichts zu gebrauchen. But always the infinitive form brauchen needs to be used, in order to stick with the meaning of to use/useful for. Definition: not need toIn German, this translates to brau chen nicht zu infinitive of second verb:Ich brauche nicht meine Hausaufgaben zu tun - I dont need to do my homework.Sie brauchen meinen Sohn heute nicht abzuholen - You dont need to pick up my son today. In spoken German however, it is common to omit zu such as in Du brauchst das nicht kaufen, even though technically it is not grammatically correct. In written German though, zu is imperative. In fact there is a well-known Eselsbrà ¼cke (a help phrase) repeated often in schools to remind students of this grammatical slip-up:Wer brauchen ohne zu gebraucht, braucht brauchen gar nicht zu gebrauchen.Basically this phrase says: Use zu when using brauchen otherwise dont use brauchen at all.Brauchen zu Used Only In NegationAs youve probably observed, there are no statements with brauchen that express need to (-brauchen zu), thats because brauchen doesnt have any. It is only used with negated sentences. If you want to say I need to eat, for example, then you express it as Ich muss essen and not Ich brauche zu essen. Strictly speaking, there is no literal translation in German of I need to eat, since mà ¼ssen, also means must.Du brauchst keine neue Schuhe zu kaufen. You dont need to buy new shoes.Du musst neue Schuhe kaufen. You need to buy new shoes. Phrases and Expressions with brauchen: gebraucht used, second-handein gebrauchter Wagen/ ein GebrauchtwagenEr ist zu allem zu brauchen. He is very handy to have around.

Ethical Issues of the Fundamental Differences in Values between Essay

Ethical Issues of the Fundamental Differences in Values between Clinicians and Families - Essay Example One of the problems in Ayeesa’s case is the language barrier, as a result, she is unable to communicate her wishes autonomously. However, an earlier offer to admit her to the local hospice for the control of her symptoms was declined. Similarly, she has also seemed reluctant to see the Macmillan nurse, as well as to undertake chemotherapy. This appears to indicate that the patient is reluctant to continue treatment, since the first surgery and chemotherapy, albeit successful has resulted in a relapse and second-line chemotherapy has also provided only temporary relief. However, her daughter is insistent that chemotherapy is continued for her mother, using a new drug. This raises ethical issues of the fundamental differences in values between clinicians and families. Trough (2007) points out the clinicians may justify withdrawal of treatment despite the requests of family members on the basis of (a) the inevitability of a prolonged death with unnecessary suffering for the patient and (b) the concern about excessive expense and (c) the moral distress associated with provision of futile care. These reasons may supersede the requests by the family to continue treatment in Ayeesa’s case as well, especially since she appears to show a reluctance to receive further treatment. Another aspect to consider is Ayeesa’s apparent refusal of treatment as opposed to her daughter’s request for it to continue. Winter and Cohen (1999) point out that advance refusal of treatment is becoming less effective in modern situations because they are required to be precisely worded and have not kept pace with the advances in medical technology. Therefore, an alternative approach that is being developed is valued history, wherein the patient’s values are recorded as the basis for making decisions on medical treatment, because they enable an identification of the patient’s core values and beliefs which are important to the patient, in so far as terminal care is concerned.

Violence Against Women Act :: essays research papers

The Violence Against Women Act creates a right to be "free from crimes of violence" that are gender motivated. It also gives a private civil right of action to the victims of these crimes. The Senate report attached to the act states that "Gender based crimes and fear of gender based crimes...reduces employment opportunities and consumer spending affecting interstate commerce." Sara Benenson has been abused by her husband, Andrew Benenson, since 1978. Because of this abuse, she sued her husband under various tort claims and violations under the Violence Against Women Act. Now Mr. Benenson is protesting the constitutionality of this act claiming that Congress has no right to pass a law that legislates for the common welfare. However, Congress has a clear Constitutional right to regulate interstate commerce. This act is based solely on interstate commerce and is therefore Constitutional. Because of abuse, Sara Benenson was afraid to get a job because it would anger her husband. She was afraid to go back to school and she was afraid to go shopping or spend any money on her own. All three of these things clearly interfere and affect interstate commerce. Women like Mrs. Benenson are the reason the act was passed. There has been a long history of judgements in favor of Congress's power to legislate using the commerce clause as a justification. For the past fifty years, Congress's right to interpret the commerce clause has been unchallenged by the Court with few exceptions. There is no rational reason for this court to go against the powerful precedents set by the Supreme court to allow Congress to use the Commerce clause. In the case of Katzenbach v. McClung, the Court upheld an act of Congress which was based on the commerce clause, that prohibited segregation. McClung, the owner of a barbeque that would not allow blacks to eat inside the restaurant, claimed that his business was completely intrastate. He stated that his business had little or no out of state business and was therefore not subject to the act passed by Congress because it could not legislate intrastate commerce. The Court however, decided that because the restaurant received some of it's food from out of state that it was involved in interstate commerce. The same logic should be applied in this case. Even though Sara Benenson's inability to work might not seem to affect interstate commerce, it will in some way as with McClung, thus making the act constitutional. The Supreme Court had decided that any connection with interstate commerce,as long as it has a rational basis, makes it possible for Congress to legislate it.

Becoming a Teacher The Ultimate Job for me

It may seem difficult for some to see just how teaching can become an ultimate job for myself, let alone anyone for that matter. It is easy to see why certain people have this kind of opinion of this profession. For one, depending on the career path and position, the salary is not very enticing in proportion to the work that is required. It is a thankless job at times and requires a lot of patience. Yet there are certain intangibles that make teaching the ultimate profession for me.The simple fact that as a teacher I will have the opportunity to get in touch with and shape the mind of today’s youth to allow them to see the wonderful opportunities for them in this world is worth more than any remuneration that the job can provide. The satisfaction from being able to help young children fulfill their dreams and realize their full potential is something that cannot be measured by dollars and cents. Process: I realize of course that these are all pipe dreams until I do something c oncrete about it and take positive steps towards achieving this goal.I may be a paraplegic but I still firmly believe that there is no limit to what a person can do if they set their heart and mind to it. As such, I have prepared this brief process paper to show just how I plan on fulfilling this dream of mine. A. Education The first step in becoming a teacher is getting the proper education. A bachelor’s degree is required to be a public school teacher. Currently I am enrolled at Northeast Community college. I expect to graduate in May 2008 with my A. A. S. This degree will allow me to enroll in a state college to continue my education. The second step is enrolling in a state college. I have decided to enroll in Athens State University. Ms. Virginia Harris is the Athens State liaison here at Northeast Community College and she has agreed to help me on this matter. I also need to set up an appointment with her for assistance with enrolling at Athens State. Once I am enrolled I will need to take the required classes in two years to fulfill my goal of being employed as a teacher by the year 2010. It will be important to schedule my time as I have already looked at the schedule at Athens. B.Researching Available Jobs The next step in my plan is to research the jobs that are available for professionals in my chosen profession, which is teaching. In line with this, I have already taken steps to research the available jobs that I can apply for. The internship position that I will take during the course of my degree completion will surely allow me to get in touch with a broader network of educators and I can take it from there. The immediate goal under this step is to find a job that is stable and will allow me ample opportunity to learn and to grow.I realize that accomplishing my teacher’s degree is only the first step and that the next step lies in gaining more experience in the profession. The best way for me to accomplish this is by working first as a teacher’s aide or assistant and eventually working my way up from elementary and secondary school positions into full time college teaching. C. Applying and Interviewing The last step lies in applying and interviewing for the positions that I had planned after the researching.Once I have identified the jobs that are suitable and preferably within my home area, the next step is to complete my resume and send out my employment application forms. I do understand that this may not be as fruitful as I would hope but I also know well enough never to give up. Once I have received favorable replies regarding the application forms, I can now proceed to the interview stage. In order to prepare myself for this step, I have planned to conduct mock interview sessions with friends and family. I believe that these will help me with my interviews and may perhaps lead to more favorable results. Conclusion:Not everyone may think that teaching is a glamorous job, and they may be right. The im portant thing, however, lies in knowing what good one can do in this world and taking the first step in achieving that. While I may be at a point that is still years away from achieving my goal, this process plan is a definite first step towards my goal. Though I may be challenged to a certain extent, this has never prevented me in the past from becoming the best that I can be. I hope that one day my efforts in wanting to become a teacher will also inspire those that I will teach and show them the value of hard work and perseverance.

Women s Rights Rebellion Should Women Have All The...

Syrene Ball Mrs. Blomme Honors I 3 October 2014 Women’s Rights Rebellion Should women have all the rights that men do? Today many people would say yes to this question, some women would be offended by this question, and some men would joke about this question. However, for decades this question has caused much controversy. Many years ago, women had different expectations and much less freedom than they have now, but eventually they decided that was not the way they should be living. There are many things that have contributed to this great rebellion of equal rights for women. There were many bold and courageous women that lead the rebellion, there was also a vast change of role and how women were seen as a whole, before, during, and†¦show more content†¦In order for Alice to get her point across that women deserved equal rights she used militant tactics, organized marches, rallies, and protests (â€Å"Alice Paul†). Although she was punished many times for these actions by getting arrested, she never ga ve up. Alice was involved in many committees, associations, and other groups to fight for equal rights, including, the Congressional Union for Woman Suffrage, Congressional Committee of the National American Woman Suffrage Association, the National Woman’s Party, the Women’s Research Foundation, and many more (â€Å"Alice Paul†). Just like Alice Paul, Susan B. Anthony was working for the equal rights for women. Susan’s main focus was to let women have the right to vote on politics, which she succeeded with the 19th Amendment in 1920 (â€Å"Susan B. Anthony†). Susan was also involved in many different groups, including, the Women’s New York State Temperance Society, Women’s National Loyal League, American equal Rights Association, the National Woman Suffrage Association, and more (â€Å"Susan B. Anthony†). Susan was good friends with Elizabeth Cady Stanton, who also happened to strive for equality between men and women. El izabeth was well educated at Johnstown Academy and Emma Willard’s Troy female Seminary (â€Å"Elizabeth Cady Stanton†). Together Susan and Elizabeth went all around the United States campaigning, speaking, and writing about the injustice of the lack of power women had in the United States compared to men
